Rated 1 out of 5 by from What's up with the hole? The new package we bought has a hole clear through the sponge. I don't know what the thinking was, but it lets the soap just pour out of the handle. Crazy! Threw the first away, took the rest back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New hole wastes soap! I love my wand and have been using one for years, but now this "new and improved" design has me using a dish rag again. I absolutely hate the hole they have now put in the center of every one of their dishwand sponges now. All of my dishsoap leaks out of the want before I even get a chance to use it and now I am going through 4x as much dishsoap as I was before because of this wasteful design. I hope they go back to their old design soon. This one is horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new design I love the new design. They work so much better on the new "advanced" wands. I get why people complain when the put them on the old wand but those always leaked anyway. The hole just makes it obvious. The new wands and refills are a perfect team. The soap comes out when I press the button and doesn't when I don't. It seems so simple. I even bought a second one so I didn't need to switch heads between sponge and brush. I've tried other brands of dish wand they either didn't work or didn't last. Even the old style Scotch Brite wand, the ones with the white button, were iffy. They leaked and only dispensed soap if they were in the mood. It's rare when a "new and improved" anything is actually improved. This the exception. The advanced design is far and away better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from why does it have a hole??? I always buy this product and it worked great... now they add a hole that lets the soap leak out? WHY? Not happy with this "new" version.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why the hole? Love the dishwand and the scrubbers - worked great...but, we bought some refills and now they have a huge hole in the middle - all the soap runs out and it's super hard to store or even set down while washing dishes. It's creating a mess - what happened to the refills without the hole? they were working fantastically!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I never thought I'd hate a dishwand! I never write reviews, but I had to seek this product out on the Scotch Brite website just so I could save other people from major disappointment. The hole in the middle of the pad is to make room for the soap that is supposed to squirt out. The problem is that the wand handle has to be completely full in order to do so. The button on the handle you are supposed to press to get the soap out only works when the soap is filled past the button, which is basically a full handle. So you have to refill this every other day. I wish I could get my money back on this, I threw the receipt away weeks ago!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sponge comes off wand after a few days I’ve had to use 2 of the three sponges I purchased after just days because the sponge is coming right off the backing that attaches to the dishwand. I have always purchased scotch brite sponges and loved them for their durability. These are basically a waste of money and I won’t buy them again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why? I tried to buy refills for my Scotch Brite wand and all I could find were these with the hole. In reading your responses to the other negative reviews, you seem to go to great lengths to explain the purpose for this new design and how we should be using it. Really?! We don't know how to wash dishes?! I've been using this type of wand product for years and try favorite is the kind without any coating on the sponge -- just a sponge. But, they are impossible to find, so now I use the ones with scrub dots. Regardless of what's on the sponge, it leaks whether it's stored upright on facing down. But this hole? What a waste of soap! And a waste of my money. Not to mention your design talent and manufacturing costs.
