Rated 4 out of 5 by Larry62 from Heavy duty scrubber I tried the Scotch-Brite Scrub Dots Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge on stuck on egg on a plate. Cleanly removed the egg and rinsed clean. I had some melted cheese in a stainless pot. It was stuck on. The scrubber did the trick and cleaned the stuck on mess. Rinsed the sponge and was good to go again. I used the scrubber to clean my rusty steel table saw. Applied some metal cleaner and scrubbed the stains. The sponge worked well enough to remove the surface rust. You can't use it on are coated surfaces, such as Teflon non-stick pans and pots because it could scratch. All considered, I would buy these. I received the product free from 3M.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tincanart from Good cleaning, but a little rough. I recently used this to clean a stainless sink in my workshop. The abrasive side did a great job of cleaning some old stains around the faucet and edges of the sink, stains that I could never get rid of before. However, the abrasive side did leave a visible scratched or brushed finished on the sink. While this scratching doesn’t bother me for my shop sink, I do t think I would like it on my kitchen sink. I also used the scrubber on a laminated countertop surface, it removed some old stains there also, but did not seem to leave the scratches seen in the sink. Perhaps I had worn down the more abrasive nature of the scrubber while cleaning the sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate from One Tough Sponge I've been using this sponge for the past 5 week and it's still in really good shape and continues to clean the hardest cooked on food off of my pots. I usually use Scotch-Brite products so I was comfortable with the curvy shape of the sponge. I expected the dots to be scratchy because it's a "Heavy Duty" sponge but they weren't and they still got the dishes clean. I used the sponge on all types of dishes and the sponge part is still intact--sometimes I lose pieces when I clean the knives but this one held up! I received this sponge for free in return for my honest review and I will switch to this one because of how long it lasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Willville from Work Made Easier 3M sent this product for us to try and they have hit another home run. This is truly an effective cleaning sponge that does not get clogged with food and is aggressive in baked on easy food removal. While the original Scotch Brite sponges have been our go-to pots and pans deep cleaners, these new ones with Scrub Dots has surpassed the former. The size of the sponge is usually too large for our applications, so we cut them in half. Sorry, 3M, that means longer periods until we purchase more. 3M might consider perforating the middle of the sponges in case customers want the options to divide the sponge for smaller applications or to leave it whole for larger projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mindytiff from NOVEL SCRUB SPONGE This was a new concept for me regarding sponges, as I have not used them as a normal kitchen cleaning tool in quite a while. In place of a sponge, I use a cloth "dish rag" which I change, of course, every few days. For my heavier cleaning chores, such as pot and pans, I have been using a filament-type scrub cloth. But this sponge seemed to do a good job on tougher built-on foods, due mainly to the scrub dots on the one side of the sponge. And I may switch out the dish rag idea for everyday use with this heavy duty scrub sponge, as. I see, they can be washed in the dishwasher for regular cleaning. Thanks for a great product and the chance to try new and innovative products!

I got this sponge to try for free and the main feature I was looking forward to testing was the claim that food does not stick to it when using it. I did not think this would be true as all other sponges I have tried always have foods that stick to them. However, food does not stick to this sponge! I cleaned an Angel Food cake pan and the sponge clean it well and I was able to clean the sponge quite quickly - the crumbs from the cake simply rinsed off. The one thing I don't like about it is that it is very thin; this makes me wonder how long it will really last. Other than this, I think it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RadioRob from Cleans well with minimal scrubbing effort Received a 3 pack of Scrub Dots Sponges from 3M for evaluation and have to say I was impressed with the cleaning ability of this product. Heeding the instructions on the package that this product may scratch, I very gently used it on a old porcelain pot that has years-old stains. It removed about 80% of the stains in a very short time with minimal scrubbing force - and with no scratches. This sponge advertises that it will outlast 30 rolls of paper towels. I haven't used it that long yet, but I think it will last a lot longer than that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Traveling Dad from Cleans well The Scrub Dots sponges work great, and they do everything advertised. The garbage comes off the plates, pots, pans and utensils easily. The sponge doesn't look like a refuse disposal unit when done (all of the food goes down the drain instead). My only concern is that the dots are TOO effective. There is an abrasive feel when scrubbing that is most noticeable with silverware and plates. I wonder if the finish is getting scrubbed off on the plates, or if the silverware is getting etched. I have no proof of this, and time will tell if I was worried about noting, but it's just an observation.
